1 – BetVictor Review

The BetVictor app is a non-nonsense betting app that remains reliable, even across busy periods. It is simple to use which is why it is so highly rated.

Highly rated for

  • Football betting coupons
  • Football bet builders
  • Horse racing
  • Sports betting

You’ll find a very logical layout and navigation on the app with quick links to the most popular sports across the top.

You’ll find a special accumulators tab in the menu that makes it very quick to make multiple selections on a market away from the outrights.

The in-play visuals and animations are some of the best in the industry, making it a nice choice to keep track of games you are unable to watch.

BetVictor app screenshots

BetVictor was one of the first to produce a football bet builder, #Priceitup, on their app and it is still one of the most fool-proof bet builders available. There aren’t as many markets to choose from as others, but the layout makes it very fast and easy to place them. There’s no scrolling required and prices are updated immediately upon a new selection being added to the builder.

You are not going to be bombarded with offers here. However, we see that as a good thing, no one really wants casino and poker offers shoved in their face every time you’re on the app.

If you are looking for a straightforward place to bet on your mobile then Bet Victor is highly recommended.

2 – bet365 Review

The bet365 app is one of the best-known betting apps on the planet. That famous green and yellow logo are well engrained with a host of sponsorships and advertising campaigns.

bet365 was highly rated for

  • Football betting and accumulators
  • Horse racing live streaming
  • Android app on Google play

However, aside from having a top-notch marketing and PR team, they also have what we currently classified it as one of the top betting app on the market.

bet365 app screenshots

The recent facelift given to the app and desktop service took a while to get used to, but now that we have had time to adjust, the platform works as efficiently and as smoothly as ever.

The app is packed full of features and one that we particularly like a the moment is the ability to combine up to four different bet-builder bets into one multiple bet.

The app is second to none when it comes to a football betting app and horse racing, in our opinion, and caters well across all other sporting events too. When you are looking for entertainment away from the sports scene, there’s also bingo, poker, casino, and slots to delve into under the one-user account.

bet365 scored top in our ratings for the best betting app for beginners. It is very simple to use and start betting with. You are not overrun with offers and banners and the app follows a very logical process.

3 – William Hill Review

William Hill is a well-known name on the high street and online. They have a solid offering across all sporting events.

William Hill was highly rated for

  • Placing larger accumulators
  • #Yourodds bet builder functions
  • Visual, navigation, and search

All of the most popular features are present, such as cash out and a new and improved bet builder has now been released. This allows you to combine up to six selections on an event from a choice of over 20 markets, including newly added players to have shots on target and players to assist.

William Hill app screenshots

There are regular boosts available at the most popular events and there’s usually a personal boost to take advantage of too, allowing you to choose exactly what to enhance. William Hill is one of a number of betting apps with a free spins promotion with its daily prize offering. Open the app every day to see if you have won a prize including free bets, spins, and more*

*Terms apply, subject to change or withdrawal at any time.

There are separate apps for bingo, poker, and Vegas gaming, but there are also games and casino integrated into the sports app to make for a quicker transition.

4 – Paddy Power Review

Paddy Power is the light humoured brand of the bunch. They like a good laugh, but one thing they take very seriously is the service they provide.

Paddy Power was highly rated for

  • Ongoing offers
  • In-play betting, stats and graphics
  • Casino app

The Paddy Power app’s main focus is across horse racing, but they certainly aren’t shabby when it comes to football, tennis, darts, or cricket. It’s just the home page prioritises the horse racing events over other sports.

Paddy Power app screenshots

There are usually boosts known as Power Prices to snap up as well as a rewards club that provides extra value to those punters who bet regularly and remain loyal to Paddy Power. See the terms and conditions on Paddy’s reward club for further details.

UK horse racing is free to watch live on the Paddy Power app for registered users. The app has integrated info from the racing post making it an excellent app for horse racing fans.

There’s a comprehensive football bet builder here that, although isn’t the easiest system to build on, does provide a lot of possibilities.

5 – Ladbrokes Review

The Ladbrokes app is a good all-rounder, that doesn’t particularly stand out, but at the same time doesn’t disappoint.

It’s quite basic in terms of looks but there is quite a bit going on under the bonnet. On top of a bet builder that is in line with most others, they have also released a 5-a-side bet building feature.

Ladbrokes app screenshots

This allows users to select five different players from a match alongside a certain statistic that the user believes that particular player will fulfil.

For example, a specific goalkeeper to concede, a defender to get booked, a midfielder to make an assist, or a forward to score.

There are free games to get involved in here on the casino side and daily odds boosts on the sports side. It’s well worth checking in regularly as the Ladbrokes app has been known to throw out limited-time free £1 bets to their users every now and then.

6 – Coral Review

The coral app has a very similar layout to the Ladbrokes app, which isn’t that surprising when you realise that both brands are owned by the same company.

Despite looking similar, the offers available are very different. Therefore it’s worthwhile having both apps at your disposal to provide yourself with more opportunities to take up price enhancement offers.

Coral app screenshots

One thing we particularly like about the Coral app is the player stats that are available for popular football matches. This gives you a clear view of how each player is performing against a wide range of metrics, such as goals, tackles, passes, etc.

There are daily and weekly free games to try your luck at and the special Coral Connect Card allows users to win online and get paid out on the high street.

Casino and games are also available within the Coral app and switching between the gambling disciplines is fast, as it can be done all from the one app.

7 – Betfred Review

The Betfred app is one of the best betting apps for those who like to bet on the first goalscorer market in popular games. They have a long-term standing offer called double delight and hat trick heaven that they make available across select matches.

If a user’s chosen first goal scorer choice is successful and then goes on to score another, the odds are doubled. If the scorer then goes on to score a hat-trick, the odds are trebled. You can check out the full terms and conditions attached to this offer from the promotions section on the Betfred app.

Betfred app screenshots

Away from this exclusive offer are plenty more bonuses. Other promotions tend to be on a limited time frame, but are detailed on the app.

The Betfred app is one of our favourites when it comes to darts. There are usually enhancements and specials on the major tournaments here, whereas with many other betting apps you are left to just standard pricing and simple markets.

8 – Betway Review

The Betway app is slick in its appearance, with fancy icons built into the black, white, and green coloured theme. It has to be said that it is not the most ideal for those with visual impairments as the font size here is on the small side.

This app is one of the best betting apps for betting on American football, in our opinion. It has one of the widest ranges of events available within this category and they offer multiple markets across each game and tournament.

Betway app screenshots

There are no real major flaws across any of the other sports on offer either. Football betting is covered with all expected features, including the latest feature to become very popular in a bet builder. Not only can you build your own bets, but there are pre-built bets to observe and possibly bet on as well.

Another reason why we like Betway is because of the free games 4 to win and 4 to score. These games give entrants the opportunity to win big cash prizes if they can correct pick 4 horses to win in 4 select races or 4 players to score first in four select matches. Check out the terms and conditions for these games on the Betway app for more details.

9 – Betfair Review

The Betfair sports app is one of the few traditional betting apps that also have an exchange app that runs alongside it. This makes it the logical and sensible choice to those who like to lay a bet just as much as they do back one.

An exchange account is always handy to have if you like placing accumulators, as you never know when you may need to protect a large cash-out opportunity from an acca that has one or a few games left to play. Laying those last selections would be a way of locking in a guaranteed profit in this circumstance.

Betfair app screenshots

Both the sports app and Exchange app are well designed, as are the other apps developed by Betfair. These include bingo, poker, casino, arcade, and live casino apps.

Betfair users are treated to regular price boosts, bet builder features, a range of ongoing bonuses, and a solid platform that enables users to place bets quickly.

10 – Skybet Review

The Skybet app is well renowned for its treble odds boost and price boosts that add great value to what appears to be at-face value selections that have a high probability of landing.

You’re not likely to be getting the best price here across the standard pricing model, but there are unique boosts, games, and promotions that you won’t find anywhere else.

One of the big plus points for us about Skybet is that they do not attach expiry dates to free bets that have been awarded. This means users can wait for the right opportunity before using their free bets rather than feeling rushed into using it due to a 24 or 48-hour validity window.

Skybet app screenshots

The Super 6 game is associated with Sky bet and gives anyone who enters the chance to win anywhere up to a million pounds. The usual jackpot amount is £250,000 and is awarded or shared to those who can correctly predict six scores from six matches selected by Skybet.

This isn’t a bookmaker we use for standard betting much but is one we will regularly use to take advantage of a boost or a bonus.

Casino Apps Guide

Casino Guide

There is now a wide range of real money casino apps to choose from. Most betting apps have either a dedicated casino app (or multiple) and then there are casino companies too.

Popular games on casino apps

  1. Classic roulette
  2. Classic Blackjack
  3. Classic slots
  4. Progressive jackpot slots
  5. Baccarat

Roulette and blackjack are usually the first games you come across as these are the core casino games. They do now have lots of variations to make the gameplay different with speed roulette being popular.

Bingo Apps Guide

Bingo Apps

If playing bingo is your thing, then bingo apps are the way forward. No matter whether it is 75 ball, 80 ball, or 90 ball bingo that you are looking for, there is a wide range of bingo apps out there that will be able to cater to your needs.

Alongside the standard bingo games are a lot of bingo-themed hybrid games and off-shots.

Slingo is a perfect example of this, which combines slots and bingo together, to provide a whole new genre to the online bingo world.

There are dedicated bingo companies with specialised bingo apps, as well as online bookmakers who have diversified to offer a specialised bingo service.

The specialist bingo companies tend to have unique designs for their apps, whereas many bookmakers tend to purchase a bingo skin, rather than developing the app from scratch.

Popular Bingo App Reviews

  1. Mecca Bingo app review
  2. Gala bingo app review
  3. Tombola Bingo App
  4. Bet365 Bingo App
  5. Foxy Bingo App
  6. Paddy Power Bingo App

Key Betting App Features

What betting app has the best options to cash out?

Cashout has become so popular that almost every betting app in the UK offers this feature in one form or another. It holds significant weight in our review scoring structure.

Here is a quick top 5, based only on cashing out your bets –

Cash-out options include –

  • Full cash out
  • Partial cash out – Select the percentage you want to cash out
  • Auto cash out – Cash out this bet, or part of it, if it reaches a set profit (Shown below)

Select your amount for the auto cash out

The cashout feature does vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. Some offer a partial cashout feature. This allows users to take a percentage of the cashout out of the bet, while still leaving a percentage in to ride. You may be wondering if you should cash out your bet. That is for you to decide!

What Betting App Has The Best Bet Builder

The Bet Builder feature allows users to create their own unique bet, by combining multiple markets from the same event into one single bet.

For example, a user may fancy the following to happen in a football match:

  1. Team A to win
  2. Over 3.5 yellow cards in the match
  3. Over 10.5 corners in the match

The bet builder system will then churn up the selections to provide total odds for all the picks combined. All selections are required to come in for the net to be a winner.

This feature is predominantly found in football matches. However, some bookmakers have also introduced this feature into tennis as well. One such bookmaker would be bet365.

Different bookmakers have different bet builder systems and offer different markets. Most apps now have a bet builder feature in some form or another. They all have different names too, Ladbrokes bet builder is called Get A Price, and Bet Victor’s is Price it up, so you may need to look for something a little different.

The Bet365 bet builder is the one we use the most, due to the fact you can combine up to four-bet builder bets from different matches to make up a multiple, up to a four-fold. Most bookmakers currently only offer bet builder bets as singles and cannot be combined together.

If shots on target are your thing, we would recommend taking a look at William Hill’s Your odds. They have just introduced this as a new market on their bet builder system.

All bet builder bets have their own terms and limitations. The terms associated with the bet builder feature in question will be available on the associated betting app. Head to the help section of the app and search for “bet builder” to get full details.

Free games on betting apps

Bookmakers like to stand out from the crowd and one way they attempt to do this is by offering users unique free betting competitions that can provide a wide range of rewards.

The game could be a spin of a wheel to win casino bonuses, free spins, or cash amounts. It could be to predict the outcome of a number of football matches to win a large jackpot amount.

Here are some examples of games we have played for free in the past:

  • Super 6 – Skybet
  • Super 6 Extra – Skybet
  • ITV7 – Skybet
  • Instant Spins – Ladbrokes casino
  • Rewards grabber – Coral casino
  • 4-to-score – betway
  • 4-to-win – betway
  • Scratch Of The Day – William Hill
  • Up for 8 – 888Sport
  • 1-2FREE – Ladbrokes
  • Free or 4 – William Hill
  • Correct 4 – Coral
  • Bonus drop – William Hill
  • 3-2-WIN – MansionBet
  • Beat The Drop – Paddy Power
  • Prize Machine – Sky Vegas

These games may or may not still be available and terms apply to all mentioned. If these games are still available, please familiarise yourself with the terms and rules before playing. All users are required to be 18 or over to play these games.

Want us to review a betting app?

We’re always on the lookout for new betting apps to review – head over to our Contact Us page if you have an app you think we should be reviewing on our site. You can also get in touch if you’d like to query an app’s ranking or if you have anything you’d like to ask.

Unbiased Reviews

We review all the betting and sports apps on our site individually and without bias. We are regular users of a number of apps and we keep up to date with the latest updates and design changes from all the major UK bookmakers.

If you have an issue with the service from a betting app or betting company then there is a set procedure to make your complaint. You can raise it here with the Gambling Commission in the UK and they have a set process to deal with it. This can get a much better response than taking the complaint further with the bookmaker by yourself. It’s always good to take a constructive approach to making your complaint – avoid ranting and lay what happened out in detail with any evidence you have.
